Norwich In Three Way Tussle For Bundesliga Midfielder

|

Norwich City are reportedly in a “three-way tussle” with Hannover 96 and Hamburger SV for the signature of Marvin Bakalorz according to Sportbuzzer.de

This is a story that first surfaced around a month ago but looks like it will be hanging around until the player makes a decision.

Bakalorz is recently relegated Hannover’s Captain and he is out of contract this summer, which has alerted a number of suitors, particularly in Germany.

Hannover now have a problem because Bakalorz is a very good, tough defensive midfielder and he could walk away for nothing.

The 29-year-old is, according to Sportbuzzer, still considering a new contract offer from Hannover but Hamburg are offering a bigger financial package to him.

Hamburg were relegated for the first time in their history to Bundesliga 2 at the end of the 2017/18 season and failed to win promoted back to the Bundesliga last season.

That could open the door for Premier League Norwich City to step in.

It seems that the player currently has a choice to stick with what he knows at home in Germany or make a move to the biggest league in the world, albeit with one of it’s newest members.

However, a sizeable German contingent among players and coaching staff would surely make that feel a little more comfortable than it otherwise might’ve looked.

Everyone’s go to Twitter Transfer man, Cory@iwritethings23 has unearthed the below information, which certainly seems to confirm City’s interest in Bakalorz. Well done again, Cory.
