Norwich City are among a number of clubs said to be interested in Kilmarnock winger, Jordan Jones as reported by the Daily Mail Transfer Blog

Jones started his career at Middlesbrough and is a Northern Ireland International. He was, you may remember, the subject of speculation linking him with Norwich last January but that came to nothing and City instead turned to Onel Hernandez.

He was the subject of a £300k bid from Glasgow Rangers in the winter transfer window but that was knocked back. With the tricky winger now only having 12 months left on his Killies contract and having turned down offers of a new contract, it seems Jones is ripe for a move back to the English football.

Rangers are said to still be interested but Sunderland and Nottingham Forest are also linked. The Sunderland link is an easy one to make, given that the Black Cats are now managed by Jack Ross, who left St. Mirren to take up the biggest job in League One. Safe to assume Ross would know all about the lad from his time in Scotland.

Should Kilmarnock decide to cash in this summer, then a fee of £600k might be needed to sign him, something well within the reach of all the clubs mentioned. The question for City fans though is do we need him now?

Much might depend on the future of Josh Murphy and Marley Watkins, both of whom have been the subject of their own speculation about moves away from Norfolk.

With Emi Buendia having already signed, City have one new attacking player in the house. The sale of either Watkins or Murphy might mean that Stuart Webber needs to replace whoever leaves.

We’ll see.
