Norwich City are interested in signing Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells according to the Royal Gazette
Wells has scored twice in the last week with a stoppage time equaliser against Blackburn and then an 80th minute winner against Wigan just two days later, taking his tally for the season so far to seven.
“I do prefer playing as a lone striker in a footballing team,” Wells told The Yorkshire Post. “I enjoy the game more. I am more involved in what`s going on.
“Don`t get me wrong, I still feel capable of playing off a target man, but we don`t really have that (at Huddersfield) at the minute though I think it would be a great addition.
“I enjoy being up there as a one in a football side. It would not work in a direct side as I don`t have the physical attributes to do what that takes, but, in a footballing side, it works.”
It would appear that Norwich have to sell in order to buy with Wells thought to be valued at £8-10m by The Terriers which means a big sale is required. Robbie Brady is being linked on a daily basis at the moment with a move away from Carrow Road with Crystal Palace and Leicester reportedly interested.
There’s no doubt that Nahki Wells is a very good player and that he would be a very good addition to the Norwich squad.
Would we be happy to sell Brady to fund this?
