Norwich Interest In Wolves Defender

|

Norwich City are among a number of clubs interested in Wolves’ central defender, Cameron John, report the Daily Mail.

According to the Mail, Wolves would be willing to listen to offers for the 18-year-old, who can play at centre-back or left-back. That sort of versatility could be useful during a season and he’s in the last year of his contract too.

You’d have to say that at the moment, Norwich do seem to have a decent defensive set up. The three central defenders, Hanley, Zimmermann and Klose are good together as a three, while Hanley and Klose are the first choice pair if the coach decides to go four at the back.

Norwich are really in the market for a right back, unless of course one of the central defenders moves on. The most likely, who could attract interest would be Klose. He’s nudging 30 and in the last year of his contract and is no doubt on a serious salary too.

I thought he was excellent last season and made the difference on loads of occasions, forever throwing his body in the way to block shots.

He’s also a character and there aren’t enough of those around in football these days.

Anyway, my research shows that he is yet to make a first-team appearance for Wolves, which isn’t surprising when they are about to sign Willy Boly on a permanent basis from Porto for £10m.

Not to mention the amazing, incredible, unbelievable defender that is Ryan Bennett, blocking his path to the first team! 🙂
