Norwich City have reportedly joined a growing number of clubs that would be interested in taking Patrick Bamford in January, either on loan or permanently.
Bamford cut short his loan deal with Crystal Palace after Palace`s draw with Swansea, with the young Chelsea striker very disappointed with his lack of game time under Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park. In the summer, City were linked with Bamford on a number of occasions although I struggled to ever get what I would describe as a “reliable source.”
Now though, the Daily Mail are reporting it, although some may disagree that the Mail is a reliable source!
Anyway, the story suggests that City and Aston Villa are interested in Bamford, who looks most likely to go out on loan in January after he signed a new four year deal with Chelsea in the summer.
Middlesbrough are also reportedly very keen and although the lure of the Premier league is high and I expect Chelsea would prefer a PL club for their player, ‘Boro could probably offer him a place as a first choice striker.
After his experience at Palace, I wouldn`t rule the Riverside out as a destination for young Patrick.
