Finally, we have a realistic sounding and dare I say it, exciting transfer link for Norwich City.
The Canaries are reportedly very keen on Ajax central defender, Sven Botman who is currently on loan at SC Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie according to De Telegraaf.
#Ajax voor lastige keuze gesteld door @NorwichCityFC … Premier League-club wil Sven Botman (nu verhuurd aan @scHeerenveen) per direct overnemen.

The Canaries are said to have made contact for the 19-year-old with the report suggesting that City have offered a “lucrative and longer term commitment” for Botman who has been impressing at Heerenveen.
He is a left-footed centre-back who will turn 20 in the next week but is under contract with the famous Dutch giants until 2022. He has made four assists and scored two goals in his 18 appearances so far this season.

Botman is likely to be seen as a first-team option for Norwich with the centre-back position having proved something of a nightmare in terms of injuries this season. At one point in the first third of the season, City only had one fit central defender in Ben Godfrey, with Grant Hanley, Christoph Zimmermann and Timm Klose all out injured.
As it currently stands, Godfrey is now injured with Hanley and Zimmermann being the only fit options that Daniel Farke has, with Klose likely to return to training in March and Godfrey expected to back at the end of the month.

At such a young age, Botman has terrific potential, something that would fit the Canaries’ transfer model.
Sounds promising.
