Norwich City are among a host of clubs being linked to American international striker, Gyasi Zardes according to teamtalk.com

The 27-year-old can play anywhere across the forward positions and is currently playing for Columbus Crew, having made his name at LA Galaxy where he scored 34 goals in 131 appearances. He has scored 19 in 40 games for his current side for whom he signed in January 2018.

Zardes is quick, strong and direct and at 6’2” he’s a very physical presence. I am aware of him from his recent time at LA Galaxy and can tell you that in the MLS, he’s kind of a big deal. Whether he could translate that form to the Premier League is the question though.

I mention the Premier League because that’s where he is likely to be heading, with this report linking Crystal Palace, Huddersfield, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Leeds and Norwich all with an interest for next summer.

I suspect that he wouldn’t cost a (relative) fortune but that for Norwich to be really interested, they would have to have been promoted.

Add him to the list.
