Norwich Linked With January Winger Swoop

|

Norwich City are being linked with a January move for Turkish winger, Emircan Altintas, according to reports in Turkey.

It was no secret in the summer that the Canaries were after another winger and I imagine that plenty of us thought that the loan signing of Patrick Roberts had solved the problem.

However, Roberts is yet to start in the Premier League and he has been restricted to a handful of minutes over three appearances as a late substitute. I think it’s clear that for whatever reason, he’s not impressed Daniel Farke yet.

Just last week, Farke said that he would love to have signed Daniel James in the summer but an eventual £17m fee meant that there was no way City could compete.

Norwich reportedly scouted Altintas as his side Umraniyespor beat Altionordu 4-0 in October , with Altintas scoring during the game.

He’s 24 years old and he’s got 7 goals in nine games with two assists for the second division Turkish side. He’s under contract until 2021 so there would definitely be a fee involved, it remains to be seen whether it’s affordable for City.
