Norwich City could be about to move for Getafe striker, Álvaro Vazquez according to reports in Spain.
The 24yr old missed training today, ahead of his side’s match with Granada on Sunday, prompting fears among the locals that a transfer is on the cards.
Spanish Sports paper AS reckon that Norwich are making a move and with a release clause of just ?5m (£3.65m), relatively speaking, he wouldn’t break the bank.
At 5’11’ tall he is predominantly a striker who is good in the air, with a decent first touch and the ability to link play. His scoring record wasn’t bad last season with 7 goals in 21 appearances in La Liga.
With the transfer window coming to an end and reports of another bid for John Walters, Norwich certainly seem to be casting their net far and wide.
I wonder what Vazquez would cost if he was British, being a one in three striker aged just 24? I imagine Chelsea or Man City would bid £30m for him.
