Norwich Make Bid For Scottish Midfield Starlet

|

Norwich City and Glasgow Rangers are both keen on signing Partick Thistle starlet, Aidan Fitzpatrick in this transfer window, with the Canaries leading the way according to the Scottish Sun

Fitzpatrick is just 17 years old (he’ll be 18 in March) but already looks to have a big future ahead of him after scoring 3 goals in 14 appearances this season. All his goals have come in cup competitions with the attacking midfielder scoring twice in the Scottish Challenge Cup and once in the League Cup.

This report comes from the Scottish Sun via the Daily Express, with the suggestion that City have tabled a £400k bid with £150k up front. It seems that Rangers are also very interested, with the Gers director of football, Mark Allen having received positive reports on the lad from his scouting team.

Some might ask what City are looking at another midfielder at this time but sometimes a player comes along that you need to be in for, perhaps Aidan is another one of those players.

Remember the last time we took a chance on a young attacking midfielder? I think his name was James Maddison if my memory serves me correctly…
