Norwich Make Offer For Chelsea Midfielder

|

Norwich City have made an offer to Chelsea to take Kasey Palmer on loan for the forthcoming season Sky Sports understands.

The 21-year-old midfielder was on loan at Huddersfield for the season 2016/17, which was the time that Stuart Webber was running things for the Terriers.

Sky are also reporting that Ligue 1 side, Nice have also made contact with Chelsea about the possibility of a loan but that all decision making is on hold at Chelsea as the board work out Antonio Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Last season, Palmer was again signed by Huddersfield on a season-long loan but that was cut short due to a lack of game time at the turn of the year and Palmer spent the second half of the season on loan at Derby County.

Derby have also been linked with the player in the last week and you would assume that the Rams may have an advantage with their new manager being Frank Lampard, assisted by another ex-blue, Jody Morris.

I was unsure about this story when it first raised its head in the week but it does seem to have some legs now, so we’ll see what happens.

Having said that, it might be that we have to wait while Chelsea sort their life out to see whether this is a goer or not.
