Norwich Midfielder Set For Move To Turkish Giant

|

Norwich City midfielder, Tom Trybull looks set to finally get a move away from Carrow Road after weeks of speculation.

Along with Moritz Leitner, Trybull was told that he was now surplus to requirements and that he was free to find another club. Whilst there seems to have been plenty of speculation in Leitner, the news, at least publicly, for Trybull was a little quieter.

Now though, it seems that a deal is on the verge of being done to take Tom and his author wife, Anna to Turkey’s Super Lig with Besiktas according to media outlet Ajansspor.

According to this report, negotiations are continuing between the two clubs for a loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent being talked about as the way forward.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder joined Norwich as a free agent from ADO Den Haag in the summer of 2017 and he was a key part of the second half of City’s promotion campaign in 2018/19 as the Canaries won the Sky Bet Championship title.

He has made 67 appearances for Norwich, scoring 3 goals and, for me, his standout performance came at Elland Road against Leeds United in 2019 when he played like an absolute beast in midfield winning every ball that came near him – a superb display.

Now though, it seems his time is up in Canary yellow and we wish him all the best.

Tom and Anna were involved in many local charities and raised a lot of money for these good causes, not to mention when he was seen buying pizzas for homeless people in Norwich City centre and the time he stopped on his way home from a match to help a fan whose car had broken down.

Neither of these moments were officially publicised and I suspect there were many more.

All the best Tom and Anna and thank you.
