Norwich Midfielder Signs Contract Extension

|

Ben Godfrey has signed a one year contract extension, Norwich City have announced.

That means that the versatile youngster has four years on his contract, having signed a four-year deal only last summer.

What this basically does is dispel any suggestions of selling Ben or even loaning him out again.

Head Coach Daniel Farke told Canaries.co.uk: “Ben had a really good loan spell and we were convinced that he would be good when he came back.

“In pre-season so far, he’s been there with some really good performances and it’s been important that he’s been able to play quite a few positions.

“He’s another good option for us and I’m very pleased with Ben. There’s no time for him to have another loan spell because we are convinced he can help us in the short-term and long-term.”

Ben has played well in both midfield and central defence this summer and played 90 minutes at Luton last night, in another assured performance.

Good news.
