Norwich City are ready to offer Benik Afobe £40k per week in their efforts to sign the Wolves striker before the end of the transfer window according to The Sun.

Wolves have already rejected a ‘substantial’ offer from Norwich for their man and then released a strongly worded statement discouraging any further approaches. Manager Kenny Jackett was not quite so adamant in his comments though after Wolves home defeat to QPR, in which Afobe scored, again watched by Alex Neil.

The Sun suggest that £8m is the fee required to prise Afobe away from Molineux, which would represent a £6m profit for Wolves in just seven months, having only signed the lad from Arsenal in January.
