The ’emergency’ loan window is now open for Football League clubs and that means there could soon be some outgoings from Carrow Road.
The most likely departure is of course, Kyle Lafferty. Laffs failed to agree a loan move to FC Sion in January and will now have to rely on short term loan deals to get him the game time he needs to be ready for Euro 2016.
That isn’t a huge problem though, as Graham Dorrans did a similar thing last winter when he made two three month loan deals from West Brom to Norwich, with a week’s gap in between. He certainly didn’t go back and train with the Baggies for that week.
There are two other names that have attracted attention too. Graham Dorrans and Tony Andreu.
Dorrans has been the subject of interest from several clubs in January, including Premier League Swansea City say HITC Sport but Norwich were unwilling to allow him to go out on loan to another Premier League club.
The combative midfielder is now reportedly the subject of interest from a number of Championship clubs with Burnley, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday all credited with an interest in the Scottish international and Norwich ready to allow him to go out on loan.
The picture isn’t so clear for Tony Andreu though with no big links to him. However, having spent a successful loan spell at Rotherham earlier in the season, it seems as though he will be on the move again.
