To say this transfer window has been frustrating for Norwich City, is an understatement.
Every target that seems to come to light in the media is made a meal of and seemingly, City are eventually rebuffed by the other club.
Here’s a little round up of today’s rumours.
Kenny Jackett the Wolves boss, reiterated after last night game at Molineux against QPR that Benik Afobe would not be sold. That was in response to yesterday’s news via Sky Sports that Norwich had made a ‘substantial’ offer for the young Wolf.
The EDP and The Hull Daily Mail have us further linked with Nikica Jelavic of Hull, a story first mooted by The Daily Mail at the weekend and it seems that reported centre-back target Kalidou Koulibaly won`t be joining Norwich, Southampton or any other club, according to his agent Bruno Satin.
He told Tuttomercatoweb: “I read the English papers too and they can write whatever they want, but there is absolutely no chance.
“His contract is not running down, he is a Napoli player with a long-term deal and has no reason to leave.”
Twitter is full of people linking us to Nottingham Forest winger, Michail Antonio but other than his odds on joining Norwich seem to be shortening, there’s not much real substance to that at the moment.
If like to say there are plenty more fish in the sea but with 11 days to go, I’m starting to wonder if there are.
