Norwich Set To Appoint New Coach

|

Norwich City are set to add another German to their coaching staff with the appointment of Christopher John, currently an assistant coach with the under-21 team at German second-tier side, Paderborn.

The 30-year-old is well known to Daniel Farke, initially as a midfielder for Farke’s former club, SV Lippstadt during his time there before Farke left to take on the role of coach at Borussia Dortmund II.

According to Revier Sport, John is close to taking up the offer of a move to England to join Farke’s coaching team at Carrow Road.

There is no official confirmation from anywhere yet but with the departure of Matt Gill last week for that lot down the A140, there is a hole that needs filling in the coaching set-up.

A quick google translate of the Revier Sport article suggests that he would be joining Norwich in a coaching and video analysis role.

Although this story is being reported by HITC and the EDP, the first I heard of it was from Norwich fan, Cory@iwritethings23 on his Twitter feed. If you don’t follow Cory then you should. He’s on a par with Nick Mashiter for all things Norwich City.
