Norwich Targeting French Defender?

|

The January transfer window is in full swing and there haven’t been too many big links regarding incomings at Norwich City – until now.

Everyone’s favourite source of transfer speculation on Twitter, Cory@iwritethings23 has uncovered a link to French defender, William Remy via France Football.

The crux of this report is that this lad is 27 years old and can play either centre back or midfield although defence is his preferred and usual position.

He joined Legia Warsaw from Montpellier last January and although he interests Amiens, he “should take the direction of Norwich.”

The report goes on to say that he should sign a three and a half year deal with the Canaries.

I have a few questions about this, namely, it strikes me as to why he is leaving Legia Warsaw after just one year and at 27, he might be a little too old, maybe, for Stuart Webber’s usual player blueprint?

Having said that, at 27 he should be in his prime now and we are leaking goals. I also wonder if this means anything in relation to Timm Klose, or not?

Hopefully not, with Daniel Farke expecting him to stay at Norwich this month and therefore for the rest of the season.

Another thing that crosses my mind is that any players purchased in January will not only probably cost a pretty penny but also that there’s the balance of buying maybe Premier League capable players, or at least who have the ability to step up.

Sorry, I’m getting ahead of myself!
