Norwich To Offer New Deal To Young Star

|

Norwich City are set to offer Max Aarons a new deal ahead of their return to the Premier League as reported by John Percy of The Telegraph.

Aarons has been on of the stars of this season in what, if we’re honest, has been a team full of stars.

Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey Todd Cantwell and Aarons are all Academy graduates and only Cantwell hasn’t been a regular throughout the season.

Lewis, Godfrey and Aarons signed new deals last summer along with Louis Thompson but Cantwell is yet to sign a new deal with his boyhood club.

John Percy says that Aarons’ performances have been so good in his breakthrough season that he could even find himself as a late pick for the England squad for this summer’s U21 European Championships.

He has, of course, played for the U19 side but his development suggests that he could yet be fast tracked into the U21s.

Expect the Canaries to look to tie down other players to longer deals too, to maximise the “insurance policy” on their players should any of the big boys offer a deal that no-one can refuse.
