Norwich City are reportedly tracking Greek winger, Georgios Masouras as one of their possible summer signings according to reports in Greece and reported today by Sportwitness.co.uk
The 25-year-old has impressed for Olympiacos this season with 3 goals in 6 appearances, also earning international recognition as a result of some decent performances at his former club, Panionios, making his debut for Greece last November against Estonia.
The lack of any real impact being made by last summer’s signing, Ben Marshall who was loaned out to Millwall and with his Canary future now uncertain, has not gone unnoticed and many on this forum have discussed the need for another option on the wing ever since.
This lad is 6 feet tall and he has a turn of pace about him, as you’d expect. He can play anywhere across the field in the forward attacking positions, although he’s predominantly a left winger but it’s worth noting that he only joined Olympiacos in January 2019 and that he’s contracted to the Greek giants until 2022.
He is, no doubt, just one of a number of options that are being looked at currently. If City are promoted, then you’d expect the lure of the Premier league would attract the player, although whether Olympiacos could be persuaded to sell so soon after signing him is another matter.
