Martin Olsson got a first 45 minutes of the season under his belt as he played in the first half of Friday night’s U21 Development game against Chelsea at Carrow Road.

A crowd of 9,146, which is frankly staggering for an U21 game, saw City take the lead twice against their illustrious opponents, only to be pegged back twice, with the final score being 2-2.

Connor McGrandles opened the scoring from an Elliot Bennett cross only for Ola Aina to equalise from a corner. Bennett was the provider again just before halt time when his in-swinging free kick was headed home by Tony Andreu, who rose like a salmon to make it 2-1 at the break.

Musonda was then given far too much room in the City area on 64 minutes and calmly stroked the ball past Jake Kean to level again for the visitors.

All in all, it was probably a fair result and well done to all that attended.

Norwich City Under-21s: Kean, Hall-Johnson, Efete, Coker, Olsson (Toffolo 45); McGrandles, Thompson (c), E. Bennett, Andreu, King (Eaton-Collins 75), Loza. Subs not used: Norman, Killip (GK), Grant.
