Daniel Farke will be without both Russell Martin and Steven Naismith for tomorrow’s Carrow Road clash with Bristol City.

Talking at his usual pre-match presser at Colney on Friday lunchtime, Farke had this to say to Canaries.co.uk

“Russell is available but he won`t be in the squad. He wasn`t able to train for three and a half days this week. He had his first session today but it`s too soon for him to return.

“There is no chance for Steven Naismith. He hasn`t been able to train for five days and is still having problems with his groin. He was in rehab today and will have a scan in the coming days.”

James Maddison and Michael McGovern both missed the mid-week cup trip to Brentford with Farke explaining that Maddison had calf trouble, but will hopefully be okay for Saturday, and McGovern was simply rested after his exertions with Northern Ireland. Grant Hanley meanwhile, is available again after being Cup tied at Brentford.

There’s more good news concerning Nelson Oliveira, with an improvement seen in the In form striker’s groin injury but this game comes too soon for him.

There is a small chance that he could be available for the mid-week trip to Middlesbrough but a more realistic target would be for the away game at Reading – that would be timely 🙂
