Norwich v Fulham: The Team News

|

Norwich City will be without winger Onel Hernandez over Easter, Daniel Farke said when he spoke to the press on Thursday lunchtime at Colney

The new signing has just started to come into his own of late as he gets up to speed with the Championship and proved a handful for Reading in the last match before the international break.

A hamstring strain is causing him some trouble though and means he will miss Good Friday`s home game with Fulham and Easter Monday`s match at QPR.

On the plus side though, Grant Hanley is available after only playing one game for Scotland due to shin splints. It seems this was always the agreement between club and country over the newly recalled defender with Farke wary of his workload.

Alex Tettey and Nelson Oliveira are both back in the squad and have been training as normal for almost a week, so will be available for the Easter games.

Marley Watkins is suffering from jet lag after international duty with Wales in China and may be rested for the Fulham game as a result.

There is more positive news though surrounding Moritz Leitner and Tom Trybull.

Leitner is back in training, which if you follow him on Instagram you will already know. Mo has treated us to all aspects of his trip to Germany and back for recuperation and various sessions in the gym in Munich. You also get a sense of how much he misses his dog! The Easter games are too soon for him but a return for the visit of Aston Villa in a week`s time looks on the cards.

Tom Trybull is likely to resume first team training in a couple of week`s time and, if all goes well, should be available for the last four or so games of the season.

We should also welcome back a fully fit Christoph Zimmermann back into the squad, after his bout of sickness. That is likely to mean a return to the back three which has done so well in recent weeks.
