City midfielder Owain Tudur Jones has joined League One rivals Yeovil Town on loan until 27th February.

The 25-year-old Welshman has struggled with injury since arriving from Swansea in the summer, and although now fit is behind Darel Russell, Simon Lappin, Korey Smith and Matt Gill in the Canary pecking order, and admitted last week that a temporary switch may be the best move all round.

Speaking to canaries.co.uk on the news, City boss Paul Lambert said:

‘Owain’s season has been a bit stop-start and it’s important he gets a few games under his belt.

‘I think Yeovil is a good team for him to go to with the way they play the game and they’ve got a good manager. Hopefully he’ll get some games to get himself up and running.’

He has made five appearances for the Canaries this season, scoring once.
