Premier League Eyes On Next Gen Norwich City Talent

|

Norwich City have enjoyed a wildly successful Championship season with the help of four Academy players, with three of them having become the first choice picks in their positions.

Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons are three parts of the Canaries’ defence with Christoph Zimmermann, in only his second season at this level, offering the experience at just 26 years old.

Todd Cantwell has played his part too, although the rise of Onel Hernandez and Emi Buendia have kept his a mostly watching brief in the last few months.

The word is though that Norwich City’s Head Coach, Daniel Farke will play young players if they’re good enough and there is a clear path to first team football at the club, something that more than one young player has cited over the last year when joining City.

One of those is 19-year old Ciaren Jones who joined the club last year from Luton Town, just like Aarons and Lewis did before him, and whose impressive performances in Premier League 2 games have got the eye of several Premier League sides according to Football Insider.

West Ham, Leicester City and Liverpool are all said to be keen on the youngster this summer, although would a move to any of those clubs provide a better path to first-team football than that proven already at Norwich?
