Alex Pritchard made his first start for Norwich in the 2017/18 campaign on Monday night, albeit for the U23s, when he played 45 minutes against Wolves.
The young Canaries were edged out in an exciting 4-2 game in Premier League 2.
Pritchard played the first half and almost provided an assist for Pierre Fonkeu with a trademark cross.
Assuming he`s come through the game okay, then there is another U23 game against Aston Villa on Sunday and after that, could he make the first team squad for Cardiff on the following Friday? He`ll no doubt be hoping that he can.
City were 2-0 down inside 14 minutes and actually conceded in the first minute before Fonkeu pulled one back on the half hour from a Glenn Middleton cross. Having got back in it though, Wolves restored their two goal lead 14 minutes into the second half.
Adam Phillips pulled another back from the penalty spot on 66 minutes but a killer fourth came in the 89th minute for Wolves.
Pritchard was replaced at half time by Louis Ramsey, back for the U23s as he`s currently on loan at Woking and Russell Martin also played. Despite always being in the game, there was no big comeback this week.
