Huddersfield Town are closing in on a deal for Alex Pritchard according to The Sun

This morning, the EDP brought us the news that a £5m offer for the City midfielder had been rejected but this is now sounding more than a little worrying.

The Sun suggest that an £11m offer has been discussed and that the player has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal at the John Smith`s Stadium.

I have to say that I`m a little disappointed at all this and yes, I know the report is in The Sun, BUT there`s no smoke without fire and this has all the hallmarks of a transfer that is about to happen.

Last week, David Wagner confirmed he`s an admirer of Pritchard but said he wasn`t sure it was a deal that could happen in January. The fee, if accurate at £11m also surprises me.

Yes, it`s a profit on what we paid Spurs for him eighteen months ago but I personally would value him higher than Jacob Murphy, who you will remember was sold to Newcastle for £12m last summer.

If and when he`s sold though, who replaces him and how good will the replacement be?

I did tell you that this was going to be a busier transfer window than Mr Webber would`ve had us believe.
