Here`s a bit of interesting news regarding Sean Raggett and the FA Cup.
Norwich signed Raggett from Lincoln City in the summer for a fee reported to be around the £250k mark and immediately loaned him back to The Imps until January.
The Canaries then declined Lincoln`s request to play Raggett in the Imps` defeat to AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup last Saturday because City plan to use Raggett when they enter the cup themselves in the third round in January.
Lincoln boss Danny Cowley confirmed the news to Lincolnshire Live
“You don`t want to be without an important player, but he`s Norwich`s player and they`ve been excellent to deal with,” said Cowley.
“They`re planning to involve him in that game and, if they do, that would be brilliant for Sean.
“They`re two months away from entering the third round but that is their thinking at present.”
It is however possible that Raggett could return to Lincoln in January for the rest of the season or a shorter period after the FA Cup third round. Football League rules state that a player can only represent two clubs in a season.
“We`ll have to wait and see. A day is a long time in football, let alone nine weeks,” added Cowley.
