With the community shield played out and just six days until the big kick off various pundits have been putting together their predictions for the new season.

We’re not interested in how the top four will look – just how many teams will finish below the Yellows.

So – lets take a gander at the results.

Stan Collymore in the Mirror suggests the three promoted teams will face the ignomy of an immediate return to the Championship. With Norwich faring the best of the three – thanks mainly to a few key players. Check out the full report here

Alan Smith in The Telegraph is marks us out as relegation fodder also. 19th in fact. The lack of a goalscorer being the major concer. Click here for full report

The Sunday World reporters all took a turn and five of the six had us nailed down for relegation – only John Brennan had three teams below Norwich; Leicester, Watford and West Ham! The Sunday Independent were even kinder. There was a 50/50 split between the reporters with two suggesting Norwich will survive. Sunderland were in the mix as were Newcastle.

Richard Jolly in the National Sport marks us down and out in 18th. He picks up our desperate away form the last two years we were in the Prem and our defence a real cause for concern. Click here for full report

You can tell a bit of a theme here. The punits and bookies have us as returning to the Championship after just one year. None of the recent signings have changed our odds – currently 11/10 and our momentum and win in the final at Wembley seems to count for nothing.

So – with all these experts telling us we’re going down, with the value of a place in the Prem worth even more millions than ever before and with teams, like Watford, spending BIG to find a way to stay it would seem to be that if we do manage to beat the odds and stay up Alex Neil will have done an absolutely incredible job. One thing for sure is that he’ll need every single one of the 27,000 fans in Carrow Road giving it everything to back the team.
