Following on from yesterday’s report that Steve Bruce is interested in taking City winger, Robert Snodgrass to Hull City, there are further reports in the Scottish press this morning that other Premier League sides are circling around Snoddy.

The Scottish Herald are reporting that West Ham and Newcastle are also interested in making a move for City’s player of the season.

As you will probably know, the 26 year old has just one year left on his contract and seems unlikely to sign another with City in The Championship. That could tempt Norwich to do business if the right price was offered and the lad wanted to move on.

Whilst I think that Hull City is a move the player may not be too interested in, West Ham or particularly Newcastle are, in my opinion, a step up from Hull.

Both clubs have big enough transfer budgets to offer the sort of money we would want for him and Russell Martin would be surprised if we didn’t receive offers.

‘In terms of Snoddy, I would be surprised if no-one came in for him,’ said Russell Martin, a team-mate of Snodgrass at both Norwich and Scotland. ‘I’m sure there will be Premier League clubs who want some of our players. Some of them have shown they can do a job at that level for the past two or three years.’

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can bring you news of decent players coming to Norwich, rather than selling our best ones, soon!
