Spurs Linked With £15m Offer For Norwich Youngster

|

Tottenham Hotspur are set to test the resolve of Norwich City with a £15m offer for Max Aarons according to The Sun and reported here by the EDP

The Sun suggest that Aarons has been noticed and scouted regularly by a number of Premier League clubs as well as Red Bull Leipzig from the Bundesliga.

Eighteen year old Max has been an outstanding addition to the first team, encouraged all the way by Daniel Farke. He initially came into the squad due to Ivo Pinto being injured and Ben Marshall struggling for form and boy, did he take his chance.

He’s been scoring goals, making assists and he isn’t bad at his day job of being a full back either. In fact, he’s cool on the ball, tough in the tackle and he’s quick. The blueprint for a perfect modern defender.

He’s only made 20 appearances for Norwich and if you’d never seen him play before you’d think he’s been playing at this level for years, such are his accomplishments in the last four months.

The Sun reckon that City would be able to withstand such a bid from Spurs in January although an offer to buy him and loan him back is also mentioned.

I can’t say I’m happy about this sort of speculation but it is inevitable and if you want me to be blunt with you, if Norwich do not get promoted this season, then expect us to lose Aarons and Lewis and perhaps the likes of Teemu Pukki too.

This is the reality of playing in the Championship. Any good players will be the subject of raids from mid-table Premier League sides, like James Maddison to Leicester.

Having said that, Spurs are top four chasers and have some of the best young players under an excellent manager. If you were Max, would you be able to turn that down?
