Following Liverpool’s 2-3 win at Carrow Road on Sunday, Brendan Rodgers has been talking to the media about his young forward, Raheem Sterling.
The 19 year old scored two goals and set up another as Liverpool won their eleventh game in a row.
Rodgers thinks he has a tremendous talent on his hands.
‘I think he is the best young player in European football at the moment,’ the Irishman told Sky Sports News.
‘He is 19 years of age and I don’t see anyone better. He is intelligent with the ball and he has been concentrating on scoring goals.
‘His overall performance has shown so much maturity and, for me, he is the best young player in European football at the moment.’
I’ve seen him play a few times this season and think he is a special young player, Roy Hodgson has no choice but to take him to the World Cup, in my opinion. Hodgson also needs to take Ross Barkley, while we’re talking about young Englishmen.
If he doesn’t take these lads then we really will be playing football from the dark ages.
