Liverpool’s other hot striker, Daniel Sturridge looks set to miss out on the game at Carrow Road this Sunday, as a result of a hamstring strain that forced him off early against Manchester City.
Sturridge hobbled from the field and despite no official confirmation, the player’s uncle, Dean Sturridge has been talking on TV and says that his nephew will definitely miss the City game.
Dean Sturridge is quoted, saying: ‘He’s definitely out for Norwich, he’s borderline for Chelsea. I think he’s got a decent chance for the Chelsea game.’
If true, it will mean another change of personnel for Brendan Rodgers, who will already be without the suspended Jordan Henderson.
My best guess is that Lucas Leiva will come into the side in place of Henderson and if Sturridge is also out then we’ll probably see Joe Allen as well, or possibly Victor Moses.
Not facing Sturridge will be a boost for City but make no mistake, they still have plenty of quality to replace him.
