Norwich City midfielder, Andrew Surman was missing from the Canaries’ match day squad for Watford with no explanation forthcoming from manager Neil Adams.
Adams was non-committal after the game when pressed as to why Surman was missing but tonight there are reports on the south coast that Surman is on the verge of joining Bournemouth, where he spent a hugely successful loan spell last season.
Just last week, Adams said that Andrew Surman was ‘next on his list’ of players that he wanted to sign new contracts after securing Wes Hoolahan and Ryan Bennett on long term deals.
Surman has just one year left on his contract but this is now looking more and more like he’s snubbed a contract offer to move to Bouremouth. After the way he was treated by Chris Hughton and the contrasting way that Eddie Howe has spoken about him, it seems he has made his mind up.
