The Mirror are carrying a strange story today, in that they reckon that not being content with bidding for Anthony Pilkington, Swansea City have also made an offer for Nathan Redmond.
The story suggests that City have already knocked back one bid from The Swans but there will probably be another.
This seems highty unlikely, to say the least, although Michael Laudrup did see a bid for the young winger accepted by Birmingham City in the summer, before the player chose to move to Norwich instead because of having worked with Chris Hughton before.
The chances of City selling a very promising young prospect that only arrived six months ago for a knock down price, who has also been spoken of by Roy Hodgson, seem slim and none, to be honest.
A fella I know at work is a Swnasea fan and he told me he is worried about the fact that they have nine first team players currently out injured and are struggling in the wide positions.
Whilst a bid for Pilks seems likely, I just can’t see the Redmond story being accurate.
Meanwhile, The Express reckon that Laudrup is set to leave Swansea after falling out with Chairman, Huw Jenkins – the silly season is in full effect!
