Teemu Pukki could become only the fifth player to score in their first four home games in the Premier League if he can score against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Norwich welcome the villains to Carrow Road in what is one of the big games of match week 8 in the English top flight.
Villa currently sit third from bottom on five points, just one point behind the Canaries, meaning that if City were to lose then they would drop into the bottom three.
At this stage, of course, there is nothing to be won or lost in October but there is a sense that this game, at home against one of the other teams promoted last season, is an important one.
It’s not a must win but one could argue that it’s a must not lose type of fixture. As I say, nothing’s decided in autumn but a win against Villa would open up a four point gap over them, which would be nice.
So, getting back to the GOAT, what’s this exclusive club that he could join this weekend?
Well, Pukki has scored five goals in his three home games this season and another on Saturday would see him join Micky Quinn, Hamilton Ricard, Rafael van der Vaart and Diego Costa as being the only players to score in their first four home games in the Premier League.
He only needs one goal or an assist to match Quinn and Sergio Aguero’s record of eight goal involvements in their first four home Premier League matches.
You wouldn’t bet against him, would you?
