Teemu Pukki Says He’s In Good Shape While His Agent Gives An Update On His Future

|

Teemu Pukki says that there is a very simple explanation for his goal scoring return this season, “I’m in pretty good condition.”

Pukki has been a revelation for Norwich since he signed on a free transfer last summer from Danish club Brondby. I don’t think I’m doing the Canary Nation a disservice by saying that not many of us knew who he was when he was announced.

A quick Google search revealed that he had been at Celtic as a kind of replacement for Gary Hooper but that he hadn’t really cut the mustard. Once news broke on social media, the Celtic Twitterati tweeted their amusement at his signing, most tweets were followed by laughing face emojis.

No-one’s laughing now though.

Speaking to Finnish tabloid, Iltalehti our top scorer acknowledges that he’s just had the best calendar year of his career in 2018.

Since August, Teemu has scored 19 goals in 32 appearances for club and country with a total of 32 goals being plundered in the whole of 2018.

Pukki had a few kind words to say about Daniel Farke and says a very tough pre-season is the reason that City have been able to keep scoring so many late goals.

Pukki describes Daniel Farke as a player-centered manager who can give the right criticism.

“I really like his style. He has made us play really well.”

“I got here with good self-confidence and a good training season. I got a lot of responsibility from the start, ”says Pukki.

“Right from the beginning I got a couple of goals. I got a good feeling.”

“The last two last-minute victory goals (against Millwall and Bolton) are most memorable – maybe the best goals.”

“Pre-season was really tough. Players were put in order. It has been noticed by the whole team that it will last until the last minute. It is probably due to the fact that there are quite a lot of goals at the end.”

There has also been some speculation that Pukki could be a target for bigger clubs in this transfer window but his agent, Teemu Turuselta says that’s despite the interest in his client, Norwich will not sell him now.

Phew!

I should just credit Cory@iwritethings23 on Twitter for the spots. As I’ve said before, if you don’t follow him then you should.
