England U21 striker Dean Ashton is still a major doubt for Norwich ahead of the weekends visit by Millwall. Ashton has not been able to head a ball since he came off in the first half of the game v Hull.

The injury list, in addition to Ashton, includes Youssef Safri (groin), Peter Thorne (knee), as well as ankle injuries to Leon McKenzie, Jason Shackell and Ryan Jarvis.

On the positive side, 29 year old Huckerby has returned to training and could be fit for the weekend. He picked up a knock in the final few minutes v Brighton. Huckerby said: ‘I trained for the first time on Wednesday but I had been doing work with the physio.’

Gary Doherty is determined to put his Republic of Ireland disappointment behind him and push for a Norwich victory v Millwall. ‘It’s another big game and we’ve got to keep it going. Like us they had a slow start but they’ve picked up and they’re right back in there.’
