News that transfer target Ola Toivonen has decided to talk to the Canaries…

After a slightly underwhelming statement last week, that he didn’t know much about Norwich City, Nils Ola Toivonen has decided to talk to the Canaries.

The 26 year old forward has told Voetball International that he is happy to talk and see what comes of it.

‘It’s not a bad idea to listen. It’s the Premier League, a great competition. I’ll talk and we’ll see what happens.’

City reportedly had a £4.7m bid accepted by PSV for their man who is in the last year of his contract and seemingly desperate to leave.

Let’s hope that he starts to get a bit more enthusiastic about things or perhaps he is just the Kimi Raikkonen of world football!

Anyway despite his reported apathy for City and let’s give him the benefit of the doubt – he could very easily have been selectively quoted by the press, he looks to be a decent prospect. Fingers crossed…

  • We should stay well clear of this bloke. I don’t expect anyone to kiss the badge, in fact until they’ve shown their worth they can keep their overpaid teethflaps off it thanks. More of a worry are his antics, he’ll get sent off without a doubt and knowing our luck it’ll be at the wrong time. Stay away Ova, there’s more fish than trawlers son. Would Lambert have given this guy a second look after his laid back comments? His agent has obviously kicked his arse and he’s mellowing his tone. Too late late for me, stay in Holland, no coach threatens to make a player train with the junior team next season unless he has a junior mentality. Good for you Cocu, let the brat grow up with his peers
