Two Norwich Players Not Involved In Training Ahead of Leicester Test

The EDP’s David Freezer was an interested onlooker as he visited Colney on Wednesday to watch Norwich City train ahead of Friday night’s visit from Leicester City.

The two big omissions from the group though were Christoph Zimmermann and Onel Hernandez both of whom also missed the game against Wolves last Sunday.

Hernandez was mentioned by Daniel Farke in his pre-Wolves press conference as having damaged his knee in training and there’s been little more since, which could either be very good or very bad. I expect we’ll hear more about both Onel and Christoph Zimmermann when the Norwich Head Coach speaks to the media again officially ahead of the Foxes’ visit.

One player who is clearly getting closer and closer to a first team return is Timm Klose who although not taking part in team training, was visible training on his own.

Other than Hernandez and Zimmermann, there were no other obvious absentees with Moritz Leitner also taking part in training, which is good to know as the cultured midfielder hasn’t been seen for a while. Due to having seen numerous photos on his Instagram page over the mid-season break, I was starting to wonder if he was even in Norfolk at all. Some of the mountain shots suggested he wasn’t training at Colney!
