Video: Murphy`s Super Strike

|

I know that a lot of you were at Carrow Road yesterday to see City beat Villa 3-1 and will have witnessed first hand the genius, super strike from Josh Murphy that opened the scoring but just in case you weren`t, or since then you`ve been living in a cave, here it is in all its glory courtesy of Sky Sports

The first half had generally been a bit of a damp squib with neither side really deserving of the lead. Norwich had most of the possession, as you might expect but in the 2nd minute of time added on, Murphy decided to change that.

He was given the ball by James Maddison on the right after his initial cross had failed and strode towards the area. He was pushed wide a little and so was about 25 yards out when he curled the ball deliciously into the top left hand corner, off a post, with his left foot.

He is right footed.

Sam Johnstone was left grasping at thin air and Carrow Road erupted at what I would say is a big contender for Canary goal of the season. James Maddison might say “hold my drink” and get his mobile out of his pocket to dispute that but it`s certainly a contender.

Take a bow Josh.
