Video: Norwich 4 – 3 Millwall

|

You may or may not have recovered from this stunning victory over Millwall, I just about have and am settling down to watch Tony Bellew with a glass of wine – to steady my nerves!

When I think of the way this game planned out and all the moments of intrigue and excitement, not to mention the disappointment and downright shock at conceding three goals at home, it’s a bit mind-blowing if I’m honest.

When I sat down to watch these highlights, certain things popped back into my mind, like the first goal conceded came from a free kick that was never a free kick. The Millwall player stooped to head the ball at about waist height and it was intercepted by Alex Tettey, only for Mr Simpson to give it as a “high foot.”

Crazy.

Then there was the way that Millwall continually played long, high balls looking for Tom Elliot or any of the other giants they have in their team. It was agricultural but it sure was effective. Playing to their strengths and playing the percentages.

I sit in the River End, so until I’d watched the highlights, I couldn’t quite see just how good the assists were for Rhodes and Pukki from Buendia and Vrancic.

Ballers.
