Norwich played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Southampton at Carrow Road yesterday in front of a rather small crowd.

The normally packed Carrow Road was short on atmosphere as just 12,479 decided to pay Jez Moxey’s £25 entrance fee.

The Canary faithful have endured some dire stuff on the field of late and the first Saturday in January, as families recover from the Christmas outlay, is not the time to be hitting people in the pocket.

West Ham charged £1 for kids on Friday night against Man City, while we are trying to fleece our fans. A more pocket friendly £10 for adults would’ve seen the stands full and a lot more pies, programmes and coffees sold.

You have to scratch your head and wonder how far removed from reality the people who decide this pricing actually are?!

There were a reported 2,000 Saints fans there, so that means that around 14,000 Norwich fans decided to have week off from it all.

Anyway, if you didn’t make it, here are the highlights of the game courtesy of the good old BBC
