Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters has formally submitted a transfer request after contract talks broke down last week.
The Republic of Ireland striker has become increasingly frustrated with the terms offered to him by the Potters, with Norwich keeping a close tab on his situation.
According to Sky Sources, the former Ipswich striker has asked to quit the Britannia as he looks to push through a move to Carrow Road before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
Norwich have had two bids, the latest rumoured to be in the region of £2 million pounds , rebuffed by Stoke as Mark Hughes still sees Walters as a key part of the squad.
Despite the rejected bids, Norwich still hold a valid interest in the player and a third bid is likely to be submitted imminently, following the news that has come out of the Britannia tonight.
Walters has moved down the pecking order following the arrivals of former Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay plus Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri and has not even made the Stoke match day squad for the past two Premier League fixtures.
