The Canaries have been drawn at home to Burnley in the FA Cup Third Round.

The Clarets are currently 10th in the Championship and celebrated a 2-1 win against West Ham at Upton Park yesterday to move within five points of the play-off places.

In two meetings last season the sides drew 2-2 at Carrow Road in November, and Burnley won the reverse encounter at Turf Moor 2-1 in February.

Commenting on the draw, City boss Paul Lambert told canaries.co.uk:

‘Eddie Howe has stabilised things there and they are going well. They got a great win at West Ham on Saturday which is certainly no mean feat and just shows that Burnley are tough opposition.

‘So it will be a tough game but at least we’re at home, which is the first thing you hope for. I’m sure we’ll get another good crowd at Carrow Road and it will be another big occasion for our supporters.

The tie will be played on the weekend of 7th and 8th January 2012.
