Norwich City have seemingly been rejected by Swiss centre back, Saulo Decarli according to a report in Germany via the EDP

The 25 year old is one of Eintracht Braunschweig`s star players but he has seemingly opted to stay in Germany after his Bundesliga II club narrowly missed out in last season`s play-off with Wolfsburg (1-0).

Decarli`s agent, Dieter Langhans spoke with German Sports magazine “Seen” and is quoted as saying that it is Decarli`s dream to play for Switzerland and that despite a move to Norwich being “financially rewarding”, there is interest from Budesliga side, Hamburg.

This is yet another link to a German based player and another clear sign that City are continuing to look to bolster their defence after the arrival of Christoph Zimmermann last week. The German leagues are of course going to be well known to Daniel Farke and it makes sense that he would look at players who he is aware of and knows their capabilities.

Expect plenty more Europe and German links before the summer is out.
