Queens Park Rangers came to Carrow Road in October 1984 for a Division One match that almost didn’t get the go ahead.

Just a couple of days earlier much of the Main Stand was damaged by fire, but after discussions with the police and the council the game was given the green light following a couple of major adjustments.

Goals from Mick Channon and John Deehan game the Canaries a 2-0 victory, as shown by these highlights which include an interview with the Bishop of Norwich. And to think we complain about ITV’s football coverage these days…
