Glenn Roeder has a big dileema on his hands following the news that David Marshall’s only back-up, former Rochdale star Matthew Gilks, has turned his ankle in training.

The injury is freakishly similar to the one Marshall suffered against Chelsea in the F.A Cup.

Due to window-to-window agreements, Joe Lewis and Paul Gallagher are unavailable for recall till January.

In the youth teams, City have Steven Arnold out with long term injury, leaving U16 goalkeeping talent Jed Steer as the only realistic replacement.
