Hooiveld Free To Leave

You’ve got to feel a little sorry for Jos Hooiveld, after being brought in on a season long loan by Neil Adams, his successor, Alex Neil has decided that Hooiveld is now surplus to requirements.

I have no doubt that the return of Sebastien Bassong is a big factor in this decision and if that works out for us then no-one will care. In the meantime, Jos has been told he won’t play and that he is free to try to find another club with Millwall a likely destination if talks between City, Southampton and The Lions come to fruition.

I’m not sure if there is a six month break deal in the loan or not. If not, then it’s in everyone’s interest for the player’s agent to sort something out or we’ll be paying him for nothing!
