Jamal Lewis has signed an extended contract with the Canaries, the club have announced

The 19 year old left back has put in some impressive performances in pre-season and has signed a new four year deal, keeping him at the club until 2021.

“I joined Norwich as a scholar and I`m going into my fourth year with the club now and it`s been an enjoyable process so far,” says Lewis. “Playing with the first-team has been a great experience. The quality of the football, and the tempo and being around that environment has been great for me.”

‘It`s more of a free role at full-back in the new system and it`s been enjoyable to play in,” he says. “People like Russell Martin and Steven Naismith have been really welcoming and offered a lot of advice, and I`m a hard-working person anyway so I hope everyone sees that and that it pays off on the pitch.”

He has clearly impressed Daniel Farke, who spoke glowingly of the lad’s attitude whilst injured, last week and it’s nice to see another academy player sign a long term deal.
